I’ll be the very first in my family members to earn an university degree, which’s something I hold very close to my heart.
My household and I moved to the United States in 2014 We picked Memphis as our second home to start fresh and develop a better future.
When I finished high school in 2020, I made a decision to sign up with the Military Book so I might function permanent to aid sustain my household financially. In the process, my parents always advised me of the value of a college degree. Truthfully, I battled with the decision between choosing job over institution.
That changed when I discovered the University of Memphis Global (UofM Global) where I can make my degree 100 % online from a certified, across the country recognized Carnegie R 1 university. The adaptability of the program made it feasible to stabilize work, life, and education. When I enrolled, I understood I made the best choice.
As an on the internet trainee, I stayed entailed with campus life via career fairs and joining student organizations like the Culture of Personnel Management. I intended to obtain the most out of my university experience and get in touch with people that shared my enthusiasm for HR.
Last November, I released to Kuwait, with a month left of fall semester. Thanks to the support and framework of UofM International, I was able to finish strong, even making the Dean’s Listing. I’m taking four classes while serving on active duty, and I’m proud to state I’ll be finishing in May.
Being able to serve my nation, sustain my family members, and earn my level implies the globe to me. I feel ready to take on whatever follows.
